T-Mount Adapter for Sony E-Mount

The Opteka T-Mount (T2) adapter connects T-mount lenses or telescopes to Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It fits models such as the a9, a7R, a7S, a7, a6600, a6500, a6400, a6300, a6100, a6000, a5100, a5000, a3000, NEX-7, NEX-6, NEX-5T, NEX-5N, NEX-5R and 3N. The all-metal construction secures the lens while allowing easy removal. It is built for photographers who want to use legacy T-mount optics on modern Sony bodies.

Manual Focus and Exposure Control

The adapter transmits no electronic signals between lens and camera. Autofocus, automatic diaphragm control and AE metering are disabled, so focusing must be done manually. Exposure is set manually or metered in aperture-priority stop-down mode. If the lens lacks a manual aperture collar, the iris remains stopped down to its smallest f-stop. Infinity focus is retained for astrophotography or distant subjects.

Mechanical Mount Only

Because the adapter is purely mechanical, it cannot support any camera function that relies on lens-body communication. Features such as EXIF data recording, in-body stabilisation coordination or electronic aperture control will not operate. Buyers who need autofocus or automatic exposure with their T-mount lenses cannot use this adapter for those purposes.
