Replacement lamp module with 180 W Osram P-VIP bulb delivers 5,000 to 6,000 hours of life
The OPTOMA DS550 projector lamp ships as a complete 180W module that includes the Osram P-VIP bulb already seated in its housing. It is intended for owners of a compatible Optoma projector who need a drop-in replacement without separate bulb handling. The unit arrives new and ready for immediate installation.
In normal mode the lamp is rated for 5000 hours of operation, while economy mode extends the rating to 6000 hours. Both figures describe continuous runtime before brightness drops to the level defined by the manufacturer, so the lamp maintains usable output across long presentation sessions or daily classroom use.
This module replaces the original BL-FP180F lamp when its hours are exhausted or its brightness has faded. The jump is worth it when the projector shows dimming, colour shift or a lamp-warning message, restoring factory-level illumination without changing the projector itself.

The lamp draws 180 W, so expect typical projector heat and fan noise; economy mode extends life to 6,000 hours and usually runs cooler and quieter.
It is built for the Optoma DS550 projector (Optoma part BL-FP180F) and includes the housing for direct installation.
Only if the spare is also an Optoma DS550; the lamp is model-specific and not cross-compatible with other Optoma series.
