Classroom and conference-room projector

The Optoma ES522 is a DLP business projector rated at 2800 lumens with a native 800 x 600 resolution. It accepts 1080p HD video input and delivers a 3000:1 contrast ratio for legible text and bright colours. The unit weighs 5.5 lbs and supports a diagonal image up to 300 inches.

HDMI adapter and accessory bundle

The included HDMI adapter lets you connect modern laptops, streaming sticks or game consoles without hunting for a legacy cable. BrilliantColor processing enhances colour accuracy for presentations and casual movie nights. Filter-free operation and a lamp life of about 4000 hours reduce ongoing maintenance.

Check your source resolution and room lighting

Verify that your primary content works acceptably at 800 x 600 native pixels before ordering. The 2800-lumen output suits rooms with controlled lighting but may wash out in bright daylight. Ensure you have an HDMI source or the appropriate adapter for your device.

Questions about this item

How often will the lamp need replacing on the ES522 projector?

The lamp is rated for about 4000 hours of use before replacement is needed.

What limits continuous projection on the ES522 before overheating?

The 2800-lumen DLP engine runs filter-free, so the thermal limit of the lamp and power supply is the first constraint during extended sessions.

How much fan noise and heat does the ES522 produce during all-day operation?

The filter-free design and 5.5 lb chassis keep acoustic output low, while the 2800-lumen lamp generates moderate heat that the internal cooling handles for continuous use.
