Optoma EX551 Replacement Lamp Module

This 180W projector lamp module includes a new Osram P-VIP bulb pre-installed in its housing. It is designed as a direct replacement for the Optoma EX551 projector, arriving fully assembled for immediate installation. The lamp restores original brightness and colour performance to the display.

Suits owners needing a ready-to-fit 180W Osram lamp

Buyers who require a bare bulb without the housing should look elsewhere. The module is built for the EX551 chassis only and will not fit other projector models. Users wanting a non-Osram light source or a lower-wattage alternative will need a different part.

180W Osram P-VIP lamp rated 5000 to 6000 hours

The lamp delivers 5000 hours of life in normal mode and extends to 6000 hours when the projector runs in economy mode. This single rating determines how often the module must be replaced. Verify the EX551 model number before ordering to ensure compatibility.

Questions about this item

Does this lamp module include the housing so I can install it without reusing the old cage?

The EX551 module ships as a fully assembled 180W Osram P-VIP bulb inside its housing, so no disassembly of the old cage is required.

Will the lamp work in the same Optoma projector that originally used a BL-FP180F module?

Yes, the EX551 is built to the same BL-FP180F specification and fits the original projector without modification.

After fitting the lamp, how can I confirm it is running at the rated 180W output?

The projector’s lamp-hour counter will start from zero and the on-screen menu will show the lamp operating in Normal or Economy mode, matching the 5,000- or 6,000-hour ratings.
