What this lamp replaces

The OPTOMA PV2225 is a new 185W replacement projector lamp module that includes a Philips UHP bulb pre-assembled in its housing. It fits compatible Optoma projectors and is ready for immediate installation without extra tools. Buyers who need a different wattage or a bare bulb without housing should look elsewhere.

Wattage and bulb type decide fit

The lamp runs at 185W and uses a Philips UHP bulb, matching the original specification for the designated Optoma models. This single figure determines whether the module will ignite correctly and maintain the projector's designed brightness. If your projector calls for a different wattage or bulb technology, this unit will not work.

Rated life under continuous use

In normal mode the lamp is rated for 2,000 hours; switching to economy mode extends the rating to 3,000 hours. These figures reflect sustained operation rather than brief test cycles, so brightness decay and colour stability follow the same curve throughout the rated period. The module is built to ISO 9001 quality checks for consistent run-time performance.

Questions about this item

How bright will the 185W lamp be in my Optoma projector?

The 185-watt UHP bulb delivers the same light output as the original lamp module, restoring full image brightness for presentations or home cinema.

Does the SP.8EH01GC01 module use a standard socket or a proprietary connector?

It ships as a complete housing with the original connector, so it plugs straight into the projector without adapters or rewiring.

What clearance does the assembled housing need inside the projector?

The unit is built to the exact dimensions of the factory lamp, fitting the existing lamp cage and latch mechanism with no modification.
