ZH521 5500L 1080p Laser Projector

The Optoma ZH521 is a new Full HD 1080p laser projector rated at 5500 lumens. It uses DLP technology and supports a native 16:9 aspect ratio. The unit is designed for ceiling mounting and ships with an AC power cord, remote control, two AAA batteries and a quick-start manual.

Home cinema and bright-room use

This projector suits buyers who want a laser light source with high brightness for living rooms or media spaces where some ambient light is present. It is not for users who require 4K resolution, built-in smart-TV apps, or vertical lens shift for flexible placement without keystone correction.

5500 lumens laser brightness

The 5500 lumen laser output is the specification that determines whether this model fits the intended room size and screen dimensions. Buyers should match this brightness figure to their screen gain and viewing environment before purchase.

Questions about this item

How loud is the fan when the ZH521 runs continuously for a full day?

The laser light source generates less heat than lamp models, so the cooling fan stays at a low, consistent speed even during extended use.

Which cables or mounts must I already have to install the ZH521 on a ceiling?

The box includes an AC power cord, remote control and two AAA batteries; you will need a compatible ceiling mount and an HDMI cable for your source device.

Will the ZH521 accept a 1080p signal from an older Blu-ray player over HDMI?

Yes, the native 1080p DLP chip displays a full HD signal without scaling, so legacy players connect directly and show every pixel.
