Compact dual-port USB charger

The Orico DCX-2U-US-WH is a pocket-sized wall charger with two USB-A ports delivering a combined 20 W. It supplies 5 V at up to 4 A total, making it suitable for phones and tablets at home, in the office or while travelling. The folding plug and 82 g weight keep it unobtrusive in a bag or outlet.

Practical limits of the USB-A interface

Each port is fixed at 5 V output; one provides up to 2.4 A and the other up to 1.5 A. The charger accepts AC 100-240 V at 50-60 Hz, so it works worldwide with a suitable plug adapter. No fast-charging protocols beyond the listed currents are supported, so devices requiring higher voltages will charge at standard USB rates only.

The 2.4 A super-charging port decides fit

The single 5 V 2.4 A port determines whether a tablet or large phone reaches its maximum USB-A charging speed. If your device needs more current or a higher voltage than 5 V, this charger will not meet that requirement. Buyers who need more than two simultaneous ports or higher per-port power should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 5V 2.4A port or the 5V 1.5A port for my tablet?

Use the 5V 2.4A super charging port for tablets and larger phones; the 5V 1.5A universal port is fine for smaller handsets.

What does the 20W total output mean when both ports are used together?

The charger delivers up to 20W combined, so a tablet on the 2.4A port and a phone on the 1.5A port can charge simultaneously at their rated speeds.

Does the folding US plug work on 240V supplies abroad?

Yes, the input accepts AC 100-240V 50-60Hz, so the folding plug works worldwide with only a passive travel adapter.
