What this charger does

The Orico OR65AC is a 65W GaN wall charger with one USB-C port and one USB-A port. It supports Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 3.0 for phones, tablets and USB-C laptops. A 3.3 ft USB-C to USB-C cable is included in the box.

Build and daily use

Gallium Nitride construction makes the unit 50% smaller than a typical 61W charger, measuring 52 mm by 52 mm by 28.5 mm with the plug folded. The foldable prongs protect the pins and let the adapter slip into a bag without snagging.

Power delivery limits

Single-port maximums are 65W from USB-C and 27W from USB-A. When both ports are used together the combined output is capped at 55W, so a laptop on USB-C will charge more slowly if a phone draws power from USB-A at the same time. The charger accepts 100-240V input for worldwide use.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-C port on this Orico OR65AC charger support Power Delivery 3.0 up to 65W?

Yes, the USB-C port delivers up to 65W maximum with PD 3.0, offering voltage steps of 5V-3A, 9V-3A, 12V-3A, 15V-3A and 20V-3.25A.

What are the physical dimensions of the charger body without the foldable plug extended?

The charger measures 52mm by 52mm by 28.5mm with the folding pins retracted, making it about half the volume of a standard 61W adapter.

How do I connect the included cable for the fastest charge on a MacBook Air?

Plug the USB-C to USB-C cable into the charger's Type-C port and your MacBook; the charger negotiates PD 3.0 automatically, so avoid using the USB-A port at the same time if you want the full 65W.
