Orion CM64 Cobalt 6.5" Midrange Pair

The Orion CM64 Cobalt midrange speakers arrive as a matched pair built for car-audio enthusiasts who want clear vocal and instrument reproduction. Each 6.5 inch driver handles 600 watts maximum power, giving ample headroom for dynamic music passages without distortion. They suit system builders upgrading factory locations or custom door panels where a dedicated midrange improves staging. Buyers needing deep bass or a full-range single-driver solution should look elsewhere.

600W Max Power Handling and 250 ft Wire

The 600 watt peak rating provides comfortable headroom for high-output amplifiers during transient peaks, while the included 8 gauge cobalt wire spool offers 250 feet of installation length for flexible routing. Power compression may appear during extended high-volume sessions, limiting sustained output. The 5 inch cube packaging keeps the set compact for storage, though installers requiring integrated crossovers or tweeters will need separate components.

Questions about this item

Will the 6.5" Orion CM64 Cobalt midrange speakers integrate with my existing 8-gauge speaker wire runs?

Yes — the supplier lists 8-gauge wire as the matching cable type, so your current runs are the correct gauge for these speakers.

How can I confirm the 600 W max rating is being delivered cleanly after installation?

Play a familiar track at moderate volume and listen for clear midrange detail without distortion; clean output at your usual listening level shows the speakers are performing within their 600 W max capability.
