Thermals and power draw

Warranty and supply chain
A nine-month warranty covers the lamp when supplied by Dynamic Lamps, an authorised Osram P-VIP reseller. The package contains only the lamp module; no tools, filters or software are bundled. Installation follows the television's standard user-replaceable procedure.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 915B441001 lamp in my Mitsubishi WD-73738, and what step is often missed?
Power off and unplug the TV, remove the lamp cover screws, slide out the old lamp assembly, insert the new 150-180W unit until it clicks, replace the cover, then reset the lamp timer in the menu — skipping the timer reset is the step most people forget.
What maintenance will the Osram P-VIP lamp need after several thousand hours of use?
The lamp is rated for 5000 hours; no routine maintenance is required, but once brightness drops noticeably or the TV indicates lamp end-of-life, the entire 915B441001 assembly must be replaced.
What limit appears first when the 915B441001 runs continuously in a WD-65638?
The 5000-hour rated lamp life is the primary limit; extended sessions at 150-180W will gradually reduce output until the projector signals replacement is needed.
