Osram P-VIP Lamp for Hitachi DLP TVs
The OSRAM SYLVANIA UX-21511 is a new replacement lamp built for Hitachi rear-projection televisions. It suits owners of compatible 50V500, 50VX500, 60V500 and 60VX500 models who need to restore original brightness. The lamp ships from an authorised Osram P-VIP reseller and includes a nine month warranty. It is not for buyers whose sets use a different lamp code or light-engine design.
100-120W Power Range and 5000 Hour Rating
The lamp operates between 100W and 120W, matching the power envelope specified for the listed Hitachi chassis. Rated life reaches 5000 hours under normal viewing conditions; actual runtime varies with usage patterns, ventilation and power-cycle frequency. No other interface or control protocol is involved beyond the standard lamp connector. Installers must follow the TV service manual for safe replacement.
Direct Fit for 50 and 60 Inch Compatible Models
This unit replaces the LC-37 and LP-500 lamp assemblies used across the 50 and 60 inch compatible series. It comfortably handles daily viewing sessions and typical home-theatre duty cycles. Headroom diminishes when the set runs continuously in high-brightness modes or in poorly ventilated cabinets. It does not suit projectors or displays outside the stated Hitachi model list.

Questions about this item
Which compatible Hitachi model should I pick for the UX-21511 lamp?
The UX-21511 fits Hitachi models 50V500, 50V500A, 50VX500, 60V500, 60V500A and 60VX500. Check your TV label to match the exact model number.
What does the 100-120 watt rating mean for daily viewing?
The lamp draws between 100 and 120 watts during operation, so expect similar brightness and power use to the original Hitachi lamp it replaces.
How does the 5000-hour life translate to real-world use?
At roughly four hours per day the lamp should last about three years before brightness drops to half; actual life varies with ventilation and on-off cycles.
