This 1000BASE-T SFP transceiver converts an SFP+ port to an RJ-45 Ethernet connection. It suits network administrators adding copper uplinks to switches or routers that accept SFP+ modules. The unit operates across commercial temperatures from 0 to 70°C and complies with MSA standards for broad compatibility. It targets environments where fibre is not required but a hot-pluggable copper link is.

The module runs within a commercial temperature range of 0 to 70°C (32 to 158°F) without active cooling. Passive operation means no fan noise is added to the rack. Power consumption scales with the negotiated link speed, which can be 10Gbps, 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps or 1000Mbps. Heat output remains low enough for dense side-by-side installation in standard SFP+ cages.

Build Fit and Freedoms

The SFP+ form factor plugs directly into any MSA-compliant SFP+ cage, freeing a fibre port for copper cabling.
