It adds error-correcting, registered memory to systems that require 288-pin RDIMM modules. It is not compatible with standard desktop computers or with unbuffered and load-reduced memory types.

The module fits a standard 288-pin DDR4 slot and runs at 1.2V. Because it is registered ECC, the platform must support registered DIMMs and cannot mix this module with unbuffered or load-reduced memory.
