Server-grade ECC LRDIMM kit
This 256GB kit provides two 128GB DDR4 2933 PC4-23400 CL21 4Rx4 288-pin 1.2V ECC Load Reduced DIMMs. It is built for Supermicro X11 series motherboards including X11DPD-L, X11DPD-M25, X11DPFF-SNR, X11QPL and X11SPA-T. The modules target servers, workstations and NAS systems that require registered ECC memory with load-reduced buffering. They will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered or registered ECC DIMMs.
Load-reduced ECC architecture
The single specification that decides fit is the Load Reduced ECC design combined with 4Rx4 organisation. This electrical interface differs from standard registered ECC and unbuffered DIMMs, so the motherboard memory controller must explicitly support LRDIMM operation. Mixing with other ECC types is not supported and will prevent boot or cause data errors.
Sustained server workloads
Under continuous load the modules operate at the rated 2933 MT/s with CL21 latency at 1.2V, and they are backward compatible with 2133, 2400 and 2666 MT/s bus speeds. JEDEC-standard construction and 100% factory testing ensure stable throughput during extended compute, virtualisation or storage tasks without the error accumulation that can occur with non-ECC memory.

Questions about this item
What does the 2933 MT/s rating mean once the modules are installed?
The kit runs at DDR4 2933 (PC4-23400) with CL21 latency, delivering that data rate on any supported Supermicro X11 platform.
What does the PC4-23400 designation cap in practice?
PC4-23400 is the JEDEC standard name for DDR4 2933; the modules will also operate at 2666, 2400 or 2133 MT/s if the system requires a lower speed.
What physical slot and clearance do the 288-pin LRDIMMs need?
Each 128 GB module uses a standard 288-pin DDR4 DIMM slot with no heat spreader, so it fits any compatible Supermicro X11 motherboard DIMM socket.
