Capacity 256GB (4 x 64GB)

  • ECC registered design protects data integrity in servers and workstations
  • 256 GB total capacity from four 64 GB modules expands memory headroom
  • DDR4 2933 CL21 at 1.2 V delivers rated speed and efficiency
  • Qualified for HP Cloudline CL2600 Gen10 CL3100 Gen10 CL4100 Gen10 CL5800 Gen10
  • Backward compatible with 2133 2400 2666 MHz systems for flexible deployment

Server memory kit

This 256GB kit contains four 64GB DDR4 2933 ECC registered RDIMMs built for HP Cloudline CL2600 Gen10 CL3100 Gen10 CL4100 Gen10 and CL5800 Gen10 servers. It is designed for workstation and server platforms that require registered error-correcting memory. It will not work in standard desktop computers or systems that use unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs.

Registered DDR4 limits

The modules run at DDR4 2933 PC4-23400 with CL21 latency at 1.2V and are backward compatible with 2133 2400 and 2666MHz bus speeds. Registered buffering adds a clock cycle so the memory controller must support registered DIMMs. Mixing with unbuffered or load-reduced memory is not supported and will prevent boot or cause instability.

Capacity and headroom

Four 64GB dual-rank 2Rx4 modules fill four slots to deliver 256GB of ECC protected capacity for virtualisation databases and large datasets. Systems limited to fewer slots or lower per-slot limits will not reach this total. Workloads that exceed 256GB or require higher frequencies than 2933MT/s will need a different platform or memory configuration.

Questions about this item

Should I choose this 256GB kit of four 64GB modules or a smaller capacity for my HP Cloudline server?

The kit provides 256GB total across four 64GB RDIMMs, matching the maximum supported density per slot for HP Cloudline CL2600, CL3100, CL4100 and CL5800 Gen10 servers.

What does the DDR4 2933 CL21 rating mean for actual throughput in my server?

The modules run at 2933 MT/s with CAS latency 21, delivering PC4-23400 bandwidth; the server memory controller will set the final speed based on population rules and CPU support.

How does the registered ECC 288-pin DDR4 interface limit mixing with other memory types?

These are registered ECC RDIMMs (2Rx4, 1.2V); they cannot be mixed with unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs and require a platform that supports registered ECC DDR4.
