Server-grade ECC LRDIMM
This module is a single 256GB DDR4 3200 PC4-25600 CL22 8Rx4 288-pin 1.2V ECC Load Reduced DIMM designed for Gigabyte R262-ZA1, R262-ZA2, R271-Z00, R272-P30 and R272-P31 systems. It targets administrators upgrading servers, workstations or NAS units that require registered load-reduced memory. Standard desktop computers cannot use this memory type. It also cannot be mixed with unbuffered or standard ECC registered modules.
JEDEC DDR4 3200 interface limits
The module operates at the JEDEC-standard PC4-25600 3200MHz CL22 specification and is backward compatible with 2133MHz, 2400MHz, 2666MHz and 2933MHz bus speeds. Load-reduced architecture reduces electrical load on the memory controller to allow higher densities per channel. Mixing this LRDIMM with any other memory type will prevent the system from booting or running stably.
256GB single-module capacity
One stick delivers 256GB of ECC load-reduced memory, letting you maximise supported RAM slots in compatible Gigabyte platforms. Buyers who need smaller increments or non-ECC memory for desktop boards cannot use this part. Verify your system's qualified vendor list for exact slot population rules before purchase.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 256GB module or combine smaller DIMMs to reach the same capacity?
This single 256GB DDR4 LRDIMM delivers the full capacity in one slot, leaving remaining slots free for future expansion.
What does the 3200MHz CL22 rating actually deliver inside a Gigabyte R262 or R272 server?
The module runs at 3200MHz with CAS latency 22 at 1.2V, and will down-clock automatically to 2933, 2666, 2400 or 2133MHz if the platform requires it.
How does the ECC Load-Reduced 288-pin interface affect maximum usable speed and capacity?
The LRDIMM buffer reduces electrical load on the memory bus, allowing this 256GB 8Rx4 module to operate at the full PC4-25600 data rate on supported Gigabyte platforms.
