Dual-channel 32 GB DDR5 4800 ECC registered RDIMM kit with CL40 latency and 1.1 V operation for compatible servers
Capacity 32GB (2 x 16GB)
Rank 1Rx8
This OWC kit supplies 32 GB of DDR5 ECC Registered memory in a matched pair of 16 GB modules. It is built for workstations and servers that require registered DIMMs and will not function in standard desktop computers. The dual-channel kit simplifies upgrades for compatible platforms.
Each module operates at the JEDEC-standard 1.1 V without a heat spreader, relying on system airflow for cooling. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, helping to keep power draw predictable during sustained workloads. No active cooling components are included.
The kit runs at DDR5 4800 (PC5-38400) with a CAS latency of CL40 in a 1Rx8 288-pin form factor. Compatibility is limited to platforms that support DDR5 ECC Registered RDIMMs; it cannot be mixed with unbuffered or load-reduced memory types.
Measured against everything we stock in ECC Server RAM, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Other versions of this model
Power off the server, open the chassis, align each 288-pin module with the DDR5 slot key notch, press firmly until both retention clips click, then enable ECC registered mode in BIOS before booting the OS.
No routine maintenance is required; if a module fails the limited lifetime warranty covers replacement, but ECC registered DIMMs cannot be mixed with unbuffered or load-reduced memory when upgrading.
The CL40 latency at 1.1V sets the timing envelope; sustained throughput is bounded by the DDR5 4800 transfer rate before thermal throttling becomes a factor.
