Adds 8 GB of DDR3 1600 ECC unbuffered memory to compatible QNAP NAS models
This 8 GB DDR3 ECC UDIMM is built for the QNAP TS-EC1080 PRO, TS-EC1280U, TS-EC1280U-RP, TS-EC1680U and TS-EC1680U-RP. It replaces QNAP part numbers RAM-8GDR3EC-LD-1600 and RAM-8GDR3-LD-1600 with a single JEDEC-standard module.
The module fits systems that accept 240-pin unbuffered ECC DDR3 at 1.5 V. It will not work in platforms that require registered DIMMs, non-ECC memory, SO-DIMM form factors or a different DDR generation.
The decisive specification is the DDR3 1600 (PC3-12800) CL11 timing. The memory controller must support this exact speed and latency for the upgrade to function correctly.
Measured against everything we stock in Model-Specific Memory Upgrades, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the module uses the standard 240-pin DDR3 UDIMM form factor that matches the DIMM slots in the listed QNAP TS-EC series units.
Align the notch on the module with the key in the slot, press down firmly until both side clips snap shut, and verify the system recognises the full 8 GB at 1600 MHz.
No scheduled maintenance is needed; the module has no moving parts or heat spreader, and the JEDEC-compliant components are rated for continuous operation.
