An 8 GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM module designed to upgrade the Synology DS1019+ NAS
This 8GB DDR3L 1600 CL11 module is built specifically for the Synology DiskStation DS1019+ NAS. It uses a 204-pin SODIMM form factor and runs at 1.35V without ECC. The single 8GB stick adds memory capacity to the supported system.
Low-voltage DDR3L operation at 1.35V reduces power consumption and heat output compared to standard DDR3. The module has no heat spreader and relies on the NAS chassis airflow for passive cooling. Silent operation is maintained because there are no moving parts.
Compatibility is limited to the Synology DiskStation DS1019+ as stated by the manufacturer. Buyers with a different NAS model, laptop, or mini PC must verify support before purchase because this module is validated only for that specific system.

Power off the NAS and unplug it. Open the chassis, locate the memory slot, align the notch on the 204-pin module, insert at an angle, then press down firmly until both side clips click. The step often missed is verifying both clips lock automatically.
The module has no heat spreader and no moving parts, so no scheduled maintenance is required. Replacement is only needed if a memory error appears or you later expand beyond the single 8GB 2Rx8 stick.
The DS1019+ has two SODIMM slots supporting up to 8GB each. With one 8GB 2Rx8 module installed, the first limit is total capacity — heavy multitasking or virtual machines will exhaust the 8GB before bandwidth or voltage becomes a constraint.
