Product Identity

The OXO Good Grips Silicone Oven Mitt in Oat is a 13-inch single mitt designed for cooks who need reliable heat protection when moving hot cookware. Its tapered shape and non-slip silicone pattern give a secure hold on heavy pans and baking trays. The water-resistant material suits everyday kitchen tasks.

Build Integration

This mitt slips on quickly and works with standard oven racks, grill handles and stovetop pots without extra accessories. The 33 cm length covers the forearm, freeing the user from needing a separate sleeve or towel for arm protection. Machine-washable silicone simplifies cleanup after messy roasting or frying.

Sustained Use

The silicone construction resists water and stains through repeated wash cycles, keeping grip performance consistent over time. The tapered fit stays secure during extended cooking sessions, reducing hand fatigue when handling heavy dishes. Heat resistance remains stable across multiple high-temperature tasks.

Questions about this item

How long does the 13-inch length protect my forearm when I reach into a hot oven?

The mitt extends 13 in (33 cm) up the arm so your wrist and lower forearm stay covered while you lift heavy roasting pans or reposition oven racks.

Will the silicone grip stay secure and the mitt stay comfortable during a full afternoon of baking?

The tapered silicone shell gives a non-slip grip that does not degrade with heat, and the water-resistant material resists steam and sweat so it remains comfortable for extended use.

Can I put this mitt straight into the dishwasher or washing machine after handling greasy cookware?

Yes — the silicone construction is machine washable, so you can clean it with your regular laundry or on the top rack of the dishwasher.
