Mounting Base for 1000 lb Davit

This steel socket base provides a fixed mounting point for the OZ1000DAV davit system. The zinc-plated finish protects the unit from corrosion in outdoor environments. It is intended for rigging and lifting tasks that require a stable, permanent anchor.

Upgrade from Temporary Anchors

The base replaces makeshift or portable tie-downs when a dedicated lifting station is needed. The jump is worth it when repeated hoisting operations demand a consistent, rated attachment that will not shift under load.

Check Mast Diameter and Template Fit

Verify that the davit mast measures three inches in diameter to match the socket. Confirm the included mounting-pattern template aligns with your structure’s bolt layout before drilling. Ensure the supporting structure can handle the imposed forces.

Questions about this item

What mast diameter does the OZSOC2 socket base accept?

The socket base is built for a 3‑inch mast diameter, matching the OZ1000DAV davit arm.

How is the mounting base secured to the structure, and what step is often missed?

Bolt the base using the supplied mounting‑pattern template; the step users skip is aligning the template before drilling any holes.

What part of this assembly will eventually need replacement?

The zinc‑plated steel base itself is durable; only the davit arm or mast it supports would require later replacement.
