Steel Strapping 300 ft Roll

This steel strapping comes in a 300 foot roll with a 0.015 inch thickness and 3/8 inch width. It delivers a break strength of 665 lb and uses a ribbon wind on a 2 inch core. The product is AAR approved and suited for standard duty securing tasks.

Upgrade From Twine Or Plastic Banding

Switching from twine or light plastic banding is worth it when loads require 665 lb break strength. The steel construction resists stretching and cutting better than non-metallic alternatives. The 300 foot length reduces roll changes during high-volume packing sessions.

Fits Manual Tensioners And Sealers

The 3/8 inch width and 2 inch core fit common manual tensioners and sealers used in shipping departments. Ribbon wind feeds cleanly without special dispensers. No powered equipment is required, freeing up bench space for other packing supplies.

Questions about this item

What core diameter and strapping width does the 15 mil steel strapping require for the dispenser?

The coil uses a 2 in core diameter and the strapping width is 3/8 in, so the dispenser must accept those dimensions.

How do I tension and seal the 0.015 in thick steel strapping, and what step is often missed?

Use a standard-duty tensioner and sealer for 3/8 in strapping; the step often missed is fully seating the seal before cutting the strap.

When should I replace the 300 ft coil of steel strapping with 665 lb break strength?

Replace the coil when the remaining length is too short for a full load or if the strap shows kinks, rust or surface damage that could reduce its 665 lb break strength.
