Foam Board Pack for Creative Projects

This 12-sheet pack of Pacon foam boards serves classrooms, offices and hobbyists who need lightweight rigid panels. Each sheet measures 20 by 30 inches and is 3/16 inch thick. The matte surface accepts markers and paints without heavy smearing. Assorted fade-resistant colours support varied visual work.

3/16-Inch Thickness Determines Rigidity

The 3/16-inch polystyrene core laminated between paper faces gives each board enough stiffness for self-standing signs and mounted displays. Thinner sheets would bow under their own weight; thicker stock would add bulk without benefit for typical craft use. This thickness is the deciding factor for buyers choosing between foam board grades.

Twelve Sheets Provide Project Headroom

With two sheets each of six colours — Canary, Flame, Pink, Lite Blue, Brite Blue and Apple Green — the carton covers multiple assignments or large single installations. Acid-free paper faces protect artwork and photographs from yellowing over time. Users needing more than twelve sheets or dimensions beyond 20 by 30 inches will require additional cartons.

Questions about this item

How thick is each foam board once it is in a real project?

Each board measures 3/16 of an inch thick, which is 187 mil, giving a rigid yet lightweight surface that holds its shape for signs, models and mounted artwork.

What size are the sheets and how does that limit layout options?

Sheets are 20 by 30 inches, so any single piece must fit within that footprint; larger displays need multiple boards joined together.

What does the pack contain for mounting or framing?

The carton holds 12 sheets — two each of six fade-resistant colours: Canary, Flame, Pink, Lite Blue, Brite Blue and Apple Green — all acid-free with a matte finish that takes paint and markers cleanly.
