Classroom Construction Material

Pacon AC9017 Artstraws are paper tubes designed for engineering and craft projects in educational settings. Each box contains 300 assorted straws measuring 16 inches long by 0.2 inches in diameter. The pliable paper material suits students building structural models or decorative items.

Sustained Project Durability

The paper construction holds shape during extended building sessions when glued or pinched into joints. Threading straws together creates stable connections that resist shifting as structures grow larger. A 14-page instruction booklet provides project ideas that guide prolonged, multi-step activities without material failure.

Daily Handling And Storage

Assorted colours allow quick visual sorting during group work and clean-up. The slender 0.2-inch profile fits into standard craft bins or desk trays between lessons. Glue compatibility means finished models can be displayed permanently, while the reusable threading method supports temporary builds that are taken apart and rebuilt.

Questions about this item

Do the 16-inch paper tubes generate any noise or heat during extended classroom use?

No, the 16-inch paper tubes are a passive craft material and produce no noise or heat during any length of use.

What adhesive or joining materials must I already have to connect the 0.20-inch diameter tubes?

The tubes can be joined with ordinary craft glue, by pinching and threading one into another, or with small rubber bands for weaving.

Can the assorted 300-count tubes be combined with older construction sets that use 16-inch straws?

Yes, the 16-inch length and 0.20-inch diameter match standard art-straw dimensions, so they integrate with older sets using the same size.
