Desktop firewall appliance with 1.5 Gbps throughput, 4 PoE ports and 64,000 concurrent sessions
The Palo Alto Networks PA-415 is a desktop-form-factor next-generation firewall designed for small offices and remote branches that need enterprise-grade threat prevention. It delivers App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, WildFire and SSL decryption in a single appliance with integrated PoE for access points or IP phones.
Under continuous mixed-application load the unit maintains 0.8 Gbps threat-prevention throughput and 1.5 Gbps firewall throughput while supporting up to 64,000 concurrent sessions and 11,000 new sessions per second. Power draw reaches 142 W when the four PoE ports supply their full 91 W budget.
Connectivity is limited to 1 Gbps copper and SFP combo ports with no multi-gigabit or 10 GbE uplinks, and the platform supports only a single virtual system. High-availability deployments require a second appliance, and Zero Touch Provisioning depends on Panorama management infrastructure.

Other versions of this model
The unit draws a maximum of 142 W including 91 W of PoE output, so sustained operation will produce noticeable heat and fan noise typical of a 1 U desktop appliance.
You need Ethernet patch leads for the 1 GbE SFP/RJ45 combo port, the four standard RJ45 ports and the four PoE RJ45 ports, plus a valid PAN-OS licence subscription to enable App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, WildFire and SSL decryption.
Yes — the four 1G RJ45 ports and four 1G PoE ports auto-negotiate down to 100 Mb, and the routing engine supports OSPFv2/v3, BGP, RIP and static routes so it interoperates with existing Layer 2 and Layer 3 infrastructure.
