Professional shoulder-mount camcorder for event

The Panasonic AG-AC7 is a Full HD shoulder-mount camcorder designed for extended shooting sessions such as weddings and news gathering. Its balanced form factor and large hand grip with integrated zoom lever provide stable operation during long recording periods. The 1/4.1" CMOS sensor captures 1920 x 1080 resolution video at 60i frame rate. Manual focus control via a wide-diameter ring allows precise adjustments while recording.

Fanless operation with long-life battery power

The camcorder operates silently without internal cooling fans, making it suitable for quiet environments like ceremonies or interviews. A long-life battery supports continuous shooting throughout full event days without requiring frequent changes. Power consumption scales with the selected AVCHD bit-rate mode, ranging from 17 Mb/s in HA mode down to 4.5 Mb/s in SX mode. The shoulder-mount design distributes weight evenly to reduce operator fatigue during handheld use.

AVCHD recording to SD cards with HDMI output

Video records in AVCHD format to SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards and built-in memory, offering flexible storage capacity for extended sessions. Connectors include an HDMI port for external monitoring or recording and AV ports for legacy workflow integration. The 16X optical zoom lens starts at 35.8mm wide-angle equivalent, while 23X intelligent zoom extends reach for distant subjects. A zebra pattern display assists with accurate exposure setting in varying lighting conditions.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the camcorder on my shoulder and avoid blocking the zoom lever?

Rest the padded shoulder pad on your shoulder, slide the hand strap over your right hand, and keep the top-mounted zoom lever clear of your chest so it moves freely during low-angle shots.

Which recording media will need replacement first during heavy use?

SD, SDHC or SDXC cards are the only removable media; the built-in memory is fixed, so plan to swap or archive cards when they fill.

At what bit-rate does AVCHD recording max out and risk dropping frames?

The highest selectable mode is 17 Mb/s HA at 1920 x 1080 60i; sustained recording above that rate is not supported.
