Fully rugged convertible design

The Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook is a fully rugged 10.1-inch convertible that swivels from notebook to tablet mode. Certified for MIL-STD-810G and IP65 with a magnesium alloy case, it withstands a 6-foot drop. Integrated GOBI Mobile Broadband, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 keep mobile workers connected in challenging field environments.

4GB DDR3 memory and 500GB hard drive

The system ships with 4GB of DDR3 800 memory in a dual-channel 2GB x 2 configuration alongside a 500GB hard drive. This capacity handles legacy business applications and basic multitasking under Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. The mechanical drive and 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor limit responsiveness with modern workloads or large datasets.

Sunlight-viewable XGA touchscreen

The 10.1-inch XGA LED display delivers 1024 x 768 resolution with up to 6000 nit brightness for direct sunlight readability. It supports both digitizer pen and touch input for precise data capture. The panel is fixed at XGA resolution; higher resolutions or wider aspect ratios are not available on this platform.

Questions about this item

Will the 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo and 4GB DDR3 800 memory keep up with legacy Windows 7 Pro 32 bit applications I still run?

The 1.20GHz dual-core processor and 4GB DDR3 800 memory (2 GB x 2) run Windows 7 Professional 32 bit, matching the spec many older business apps were built for.

How can I verify the sunlight-viewable LED touchscreen and digitizer pen are working after first boot?

Open a desktop app, tap the 10.1" 1024 x 768 XGA panel with the included digitizer pen and confirm cursor follows pressure; brightness should reach readable levels outdoors.

Does the box contain the GOBI broadband module and power adapter, or must I source them separately?

The supplier title lists GOBI Mobile Broadband and power adapter as included, so both ship in the box; no separate purchase is required for those items.
