Panasonic CF-S10 Toughbook 12.1-inch laptop

The Panasonic CF-S10 is a new 12.1-inch rugged laptop with a 1280 x 800 WXGA LED display. It runs on a 2.40GHz Intel Core i5 single-core processor with 4GB of DDR3 1333 memory and a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive. Windows 7 Professional comes pre-installed, and a DVD-ROM drive plus power adapter are included.

Mobile professionals needing Windows 7

This unit suits users who require a lightweight 3.0 lb magnesium-alloy chassis rated for a 30-inch drop and a spill-resistant keyboard. Buyers who need a solid-state drive, a touchscreen, or dual-band 802.11n wireless should consider other options. The single-core processor also limits multi-threaded workloads.

Single-core 2.40GHz Intel Core i5 processor

The CPU is a single-core part running at 2.40GHz, which determines how the laptop handles concurrent tasks. Buyers planning to run modern multi-threaded applications should verify that this architecture meets their performance requirements before purchasing.
