Panasonic CR123 4-pack for S02 flashlight

This pack contains four Panasonic CR123 lithium batteries intended for the S02 flashlight. The light accepts two CR123 cells as an alternative to a single 18650 rechargeable battery. Buyers who prefer disposable primary cells over rechargeable options will find this quantity convenient for immediate use or spares.

Aviation-grade aluminum body with tail-cap control

The S02 flashlight uses a 6061-T6 aluminum body rated as shockproof and waterproof. A tail-cap button cycles through five modes including high, medium, low, strobe and SOS. Knurling on the 25 mm body diameter improves grip during mode changes in wet or cold conditions.

Replaces depleted CR123 pairs for 300 lumen output

Two fresh CR123 cells restore the 300 lumen high mode and 200 to 300 meter beam distance. The jump is worth it when the existing pair no longer sustains the two to three hour high-mode runtime. Users who rely on a built-in rechargeable 18650 cell instead will not need this pack.

Questions about this item

Does the S02 flashlight use a standard CR123 interface and what voltage does it cap at?

The S02 accepts two CR123 lithium batteries in series, delivering a nominal 6 V to the Cree XP-E LED.

What body diameter and length must a battery compartment accommodate for the S02?

The flashlight body is 25 mm (0.98 in) in diameter and 145 mm (5.7 in) long, so the battery tube must match those dimensions.

How are the CR123 cells inserted and which orientation step is often missed?

Unscrew the tail cap, insert two CR123 cells with the positive ends pointing toward the head, then tighten the cap to engage the tail-switch circuit.
