Compact rugged tablet for field work

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 is a 10.1 inch fully rugged Windows tablet built for mobile field workers. It combines a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA touch display with an Intel Core i5 processor running at 2.3 GHz, 8 GB of DDR3L memory and a 256 GB SSD. The unit ships with Windows 7 Professional, 4G LTE multi‑carrier connectivity, a digitizer pen and a power adapter.

Suits outdoor professionals needing daylight

This device fits surveyors, utility crews and logistics staff who require MIL‑STD‑810G and IP65 certified durability, glove‑compatible multi‑touch and a waterproof digitizer pen. It is not suited for buyers who need a larger screen, more processor cores, a newer operating system or additional USB ports beyond the single connection provided.

Single‑core Intel Core i5 at 2.3 GHz limits heavy

The processor uses a single‑core design identified as the 2200+ model, which determines how the tablet handles concurrent workloads. Users running multiple demanding applications simultaneously should verify that this architecture meets their performance requirements before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Toughpad FZ-G1 is functioning correctly after first boot?

Confirm the 10.1-inch touch WUXGA LED panel lights at 1920 x 1200, the Intel Core i5 2.3 GHz processor appears in system information, 8 GB DDR3L 1600 memory is recognised, the 256 GB SSD shows full capacity, Windows 7 Professional loads, and both 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 pair successfully.

What accessories are included and which must be purchased separately?

The box contains the FZ-G1 tablet, a digitizer pen for gloved multi-touch and waterproof input, and a power adapter. No optical drive is built in, so external USB optical media or additional USB peripherals must be bought separately if required.

Which configuration should I choose for field work needing mobile data?

Select the model with 4G LTE Multi Carrier support, 256 GB SSD, 8 GB DDR3L memory, and the 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 touchscreen; this combination provides cellular connectivity, ample local storage, and the rugged MIL-STD-810G and IP65 rated chassis suited for outdoor use.
