The bundle centres on the Panasonic Leica DG Nocticron 42.5 mm f/1.2 lens, a portrait-length prime for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Its fast f/1.2 aperture gives strong low-light performance and very shallow depth of field for subject separation. The kit also adds a 64 GB memory card, a three-piece filter set, caps, pouch, cleaning kit, card reader and card wallet.

Straightforward mount and filter fit

The lens attaches via the standard Micro Four Thirds bayonet and requires no adapter or firmware step for compatible bodies. Built-in POWER Optical Image Stabilisation activates automatically, while the stepping AF motor runs silently for both stills and video. The included filters thread onto the front element; cross-threading is the only common issue if they are forced on crooked.

Fixed focal length and aperture ceiling

The 42.5 mm focal length translates to an 85 mm equivalent field of view, so the angle of view cannot be changed without swapping lenses. Maximum aperture is f/1.2; there is no wider setting for even shallower depth or darker scenes. The 64 GB card capacity limits the number of raw files or video minutes before offloading.
