Versatile Zoom for Micro Four Thirds

The Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-35mm f/2.8 ASPH POWER O.I.S. Lens provides a 24-70mm full-frame equivalent range. Its constant f/2.8 aperture maintains exposure throughout the zoom. The bundle adds a 58mm filter kit, cleaning tools, a lens pouch and a cap keeper. This kit suits enthusiasts and professionals who need one lens for wide-angle to portrait work.

Sustained Optical Quality

Four aspherical elements and one ultra-low dispersion element control distortion and aberration across the entire range. The updated Nano Crystal Coating suppresses flare and ghosting when shooting toward strong light sources. POWER Optical Image Stabilization reduces camera shake during handheld sessions. Weather-sealed construction protects the optics during extended outdoor use in demanding conditions.

Upgrade From Variable Aperture Zooms

Photographers moving from slower kit zooms gain a constant f/2.8 aperture for low-light flexibility and consistent depth of field. The step up is worth it when you need reliable performance across 12-35mm without swapping lenses. Buyers who require longer telephoto reach or a wider maximum aperture than f/2.8 should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Does the f/2.8 aperture generate noticeable heat or noise during long video sessions?

The lens has no motorised cooling and the constant f/2.8 aperture itself produces no audible noise or measurable heat buildup during extended use.

Which camera body mount is required to attach this Micro Four Thirds zoom?

You need a Micro Four Thirds camera body; the lens will not mount on DSLR or other systems without an adapter.

Will the 58 mm filter threads on this lens accept the circular polariser I use on my older Four Thirds glass?

Yes, the 58 mm thread matches the filter kit included, so existing 58 mm filters fit directly without step-up rings.
