Panasonic Lumix S 24mm f/1.8 L-Mount Lens

This wide-angle prime lens offers a fast f/1.8 maximum aperture for L-mount camera systems. It suits photographers and videographers who need a compact, high-quality optic for landscapes, environmental portraits and general shooting. The bundle adds Corel Mac Essentials software, a ProOptic 67mm filter kit and a Slinger neoprene pouch for protection and workflow.

Silent AF and Gimbal Balance

The lens drives focus smoothly and quietly to support contrast AF at up to 240 fps sensor readout, keeping noise off audio tracks during video work. Its size, weight and centre of gravity match other F1.8 series lenses, so swapping them on a gimbal requires minimal rebalancing. A common 67mm filter thread lets you share filters across the range.

12 Elements in 11 Groups

The optical formula uses twelve elements in eleven groups, including three aspherical lenses, three ED lenses and one UED lens. This design targets high descriptive performance, attractive bokeh and strong chromatic aberration control across the frame. Buyers who need a longer focal length or a zoom range should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 67mm filter kit to this L-mount lens without cross-threading?

Align the filter threads with the lens barrel's 67mm front thread, turn clockwise until resistance is felt, then tighten gently; the shared 67mm diameter across the F1.8 series ensures consistent fit.

When will the lens hood or filter coatings need replacement under normal use?

The supplied hood and ProOptic filter coatings are durable; clean with the included microfibre cloth and lens cleaner only when visibly soiled — no scheduled replacement interval applies.

At what continuous frame rate does the autofocus motor reach its tracking limit during video?

The lens supports the camera's contrast AF at up to 240 fps sensor drive; beyond that rate the AF may not maintain precise focus on fast-moving subjects.
