Ready-to-install replacement lamp

The Panasonic PT-BX40 lamp module ships as a complete 245 W bulb-and-housing assembly, so technicians or AV staff can swap it into a compatible projector without extra tools or alignment steps. It is built for venues that need a quick, reliable return to service.

Lamp life depends on operating mode

In Normal mode the UHM bulb is rated for 3000 hours; switching to Economy mode extends the rating to 5000 hours. Brightness and fan noise will differ between the two settings, so the practical limit is the mode the installer chooses for the room.

245 W UHM bulb determines fit

The projector’s power supply and cooling are designed around a 245 watt ultra-high-performance bulb, so only a lamp with that exact wattage and UHM designation will ignite and run within thermal limits. Installing a different wattage or lamp type will prevent operation.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the OEM Philips, OEM Panasonic, OEM-compatible or third-party compatible version for my PT-BX40 projector?

All four versions fit the PT-BX40 and use a 245W UHM bulb; the OEM Philips and OEM Panasonic units come from the original bulb maker, the OEM-compatible version uses a different OEM maker, and the third-party compatible uses genuine OEM parts at a lower cost.

What does the 245W rating mean for brightness and heat inside my projector?

The 245W UHM bulb delivers the light output the PT-BX40 was designed for; running the projector in Economy mode lowers power draw and extends lamp life to 5000 hours while Normal mode gives 3000 hours.

Does this lamp module use a standard connector that plugs straight into the PT-BX40 without adapters?

Yes, the lamp ships as a fully assembled bulb and housing built to the PT-BX40 specification, so it installs directly with the projector's existing connector and requires no extra cables or adapters.
