Home cinema laser projector

The Panasonic PT-FRQ60BU7 is a 1-Chip DLP laser projector rated at 6,000 lumens with native 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160. It suits dedicated home-theatre rooms, museum displays, education spaces and corporate offices that demand high brightness and precise geometry control.

Replaces lamp-based 4K units

The laser light source removes lamp replacement cycles and colour decay, making the jump worthwhile when maintenance access is difficult or when consistent 6,000-lumen output is required over years of daily use. The preactivated Geometry Manager Pro kit simplifies multi-projector alignment for curved or irregular screens.

Sustained 240 Hz 1080p playback

Under continuous operation the projector maintains minimal input-to-output latency while driving 240 Hz at 1080p, so fast-motion content stays sharp without frame pacing interruptions. The 2.0x zoom and wide vertical shift of +71 % and -48 % plus horizontal shift of +34 % and -27 % keep image geometry stable during long sessions.

Questions about this item

How much space do I need for the lens shift range of this projector?

The vertical lens shift covers +71 % and -48 %, while horizontal shift covers +34 % and -27 %, so the mounting position can be offset significantly from the screen centre.

What is the step people get wrong when installing the 2.0x zoom lens?

Users often set the zoom before finalising the throw distance; adjust the 2.0x zoom after the projector is positioned to keep the image sized correctly.

When will the laser light source need replacement?

The laser engine is rated for long life; no user-replaceable lamp exists, so the unit runs until brightness degrades below usable levels.
