High-brightness WUXGA projector for installed AV

The Panasonic PT-MZ20KLBU7 delivers 20000 lumens from a 3LCD engine with a native 1920 x 1200 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It is built for permanent installation in large venues such as auditoriums, lecture halls or digital-signage walls where ambient light is difficult to control.

3000000:1 dynamic contrast

The 85 percent uniformity and 3000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio hold detail across very wide screens up to 600 inches diagonal, while the minimum usable size is 79.9 inches. In normal mode the light source is rated for up to 20000 hours, reducing maintenance cycles for high-duty applications.

Wired LAN, HDMI, 3G-HDSDI

Two HDMI inputs, one 3G-HDSDI BNC, one DIGITAL LINK RJ-45 and a separate network RJ-45 provide redundant wired pathways for video and control. Serial RS-232C in and out, a USB Type-A port and DB-9 remote connectors support automation systems, but the projector has no wireless presentation or image-transfer capability.

Questions about this item

Will the 1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution and 20000 lumen brightness match my existing 1080p displays without looking washed out?

The projector outputs native 1920 x 1200 pixels at 20000 lumens, so 1080p sources are scaled to the 16:10 panel while the high brightness and 3000000:1 dynamic contrast keep blacks deep even in lit rooms.

How can I verify the 3G-HDSDI and DIGITAL LINK signals are passing correctly after installation?

Use the built-in test patterns and the network management interface over the RJ-45 port to confirm signal lock, resolution detection and error-free transmission on each input.

Which lenses and cables must I purchase separately to start using the HDMI and 3G-HDSDI inputs?

The unit ships without a lens, so you need a compatible Panasonic interchangeable lens; add HDMI Type A cables for the two HDMI ports and a BNC cable for the 3G-HDSDI input.
