Laser projector for fixed installation

The Panasonic PT-RZ6LBU7 is a laser-diode DLP projector built for permanent mounting in corporate or education spaces. It delivers 6500 ANSI lumens at a native WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 with a 16:10 aspect ratio. A dynamic contrast ratio of 15000:1 supports legible text and detailed graphics in bright rooms. The light source is rated for up to 20000 hours in normal or quiet modes and up to 24000 hours in economic mode.

Suited for networked AV rooms; not for portable use

This model targets integrators who need LAN-based control, NFC pairing and an Intel SDM slot for expandable connectivity. Wired LAN, RS-232C in and out, and dual HDMI inputs fit managed installations. The unit is classed as non-portable and operates between 32 and 113 degrees Fahrenheit, so it is not intended for mobile presentations or temporary setups. Buyers needing wireless projection without a network infrastructure should look elsewhere.

620-watt AC power draw

The projector requires an AC supply of 100-240 volts at 50/60 hertz and consumes 620 watts during operation. A USB Type-A port provides power only, and remote-trigger connections use 3.5 mm mini-phone jacks. Installers must budget circuit capacity and cooling for the stated power figure.

Questions about this item

Does the PT-RZ6LBU7 ship with a lens, or do I need to purchase one separately?

The projector body is supplied without a lens; a compatible Panasonic lens for the RQ7 series must be bought separately.

Which brightness mode should I choose between normal, quiet and economic for a meeting room?

Normal and quiet modes both run the laser at 20000 hours; economic mode extends it to 24000 hours while reducing light output.

What does the 6500 ANSI lumens rating mean for a 1920 x 1200 image in a lit room?

At 6500 ANSI lumens the WUXGA picture stays readable in typical conference-room lighting without needing to dim the lights.
