Compact Laser Projector for Bright Rooms

The Panasonic PT-VMW61 is a WUXGA LCD laser projector built for classrooms and meeting spaces where ambient light cannot be controlled. Its 7.0 kg chassis is the smallest in its class, making it easy to move between rooms or mount permanently.

Check Signal Sources and Mounting Geometry

Verify that your primary sources can output a 4K signal over HDMI for CEC command compatibility. The 1.6x zoom and 6-Point Screen Correction handle off-centre placement, but measure throw distance against the intended screen size before ordering.

Steady Output Under Continuous Use

Laser light engine delivers up to 7,000 lm with a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio that holds during long sessions without the brightness decay typical of lamp models. The sealed optical block resists dust ingress, so colour volume and focus remain stable across back-to-back presentations.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the PT-VMW61 and what must I purchase separately?

The PT-VMW61 ships as a complete projector unit. The description notes wireless LAN collaboration via an on-screen QR code and USB flash drive playback, so no extra media player is required. A ceiling mount and screen are sold separately.

Should I plan for 5,200 lm or 7,000 lm when choosing this model?

The PT-VMW61 is rated up to 7,000 lm brightness. Use the higher figure for rooms with strong ambient light; the lower 5,200 lm represents typical output in standard modes.

How does the 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio look in a real living room?

The 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast produces deep blacks and bright highlights, keeping images clear even with some ambient light. In a darkened home theater the ratio delivers strong shadow detail and vivid colour depth.
