Professional laser projector

The Panasonic PTRZ470UW is a new DLP business projector built for permanent installation in meeting rooms and classrooms. Its laser/LED light source delivers 3000 lm brightness and a 20,000:1 contrast ratio at native 1920 x 1080 resolution. The 2x optical zoom and 16:9 aspect ratio suit standard widescreen content.

Upgrade from lamp projectors

This model replaces older lamp-based units that require frequent bulb changes and suffer brightness decay. The rated 20000 hour lamp life in normal mode eliminates scheduled lamp replacements for years of daily use. The jump is worth it when maintenance access is difficult or operating costs must stay predictable.

Installation flexibility

Ceiling front rear and tabletop mounting are all supported with a maximum diagonal image size of 25 ft. HDMI and DVI inputs connect current and legacy sources while 3D ready capability adds depth for specialised presentations. The 22.05 lb chassis fits standard mounts and includes a secure-lock power cord remote control and monitoring software.

Questions about this item

What ceiling-mount dimensions does the 17.9 by 16.3 inch chassis need?

The projector measures 17.9 inches wide by 16.3 inches deep and weighs 22.05 lb, so a mount rated for that footprint and weight is required.

Which cable should I connect first to avoid a no-signal error on the 1920 x 1080 DLP?

Connect the HDMI or DVI source before powering on the unit; the projector then detects the 1080p signal automatically.

When does the laser light source need replacement after 20000 hours of use?

The laser/LED module is rated for 20000 hours in normal mode; plan replacement when brightness drops noticeably after that period.
