Built for field work

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 MK4 is a new 10.1" rugged tablet running Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-6300U vPro processor at 2.4GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3GHz. It packs 8GB DDR3L memory and a 256GB SSD into a silver chassis rated for -10°C to 50°C operation. A 10-point capacitive multi-touch plus digitizer screen reaches 800 nits for daylight readability.

Who should skip this

Workers who need Windows 11 support cannot upgrade this device, as the OS is locked to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Teams requiring more than 8GB of memory or a larger display should look elsewhere. The single USB 3.0 port limits peripheral expansion for desk-bound roles.

Deciding specification

The 1920 x 1200 WUXGA display with 10-point touch and digitizer input, rated up to 800 nits, determines whether this tablet suits outdoor documentation and signature capture workflows.
