Rugged 7-inch tablet with LTE

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1 is a compact 7.0" Windows 10 Pro tablet powered by an Intel Core m5-6Y57 processor at 1.10GHz. It includes 8GB of memory, a 256GB SSD, and integrated 4G LTE via the EM7355 modem. The 10-point gloved multi-touch display supports operation in wet or gloved conditions.

Field workers needing mobile data

This unit suits logistics, utilities, and public-safety staff who require a lightweight, fully rugged tablet with built-in cellular connectivity and a barcode laser scanner. Buyers who need a larger screen, a full-size keyboard, or higher processing performance for desktop-class applications should look at something else.

Check OS support and peripheral mounts

Verify that Windows 10 Pro meets your organisation’s security and software-compatibility requirements before purchase. Confirm that your existing docking stations, vehicle mounts, or stylus accessories are designed for the FZ-M1 form factor. Ensure your mobile carrier supports the EM7355 LTE bands used in your region.

Questions about this item

What operating system must already be licensed for the Intel Core m5-6Y57 to run Windows 10 Pro?

The Toughpad FZ-M1 ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed and activated, so no additional OS licence is required for the m5-6Y57 processor.

Will the 7.0" WXGA gloved multi-touch screen work with a legacy stylus that only supports single-point input?

The 10-point capacitive panel accepts gloved and bare-finger touch; a single-point stylus will register as one touch point but cannot use multi-touch gestures.

How can I confirm the 4G LTE EM7355 modem is connected after setup?

Open Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular; the EM7355 will show signal bars, carrier name and data status when the modem has registered on the network.
