1-port RJ-45 Cat 6 jack

The Panduit CJ688TGBL-24 is a single-port modular jack that terminates unshielded twisted-pair cable to an RJ-45 female connector. It is wired for both T568A and T568B pinouts and meets Category 6 performance requirements. The black Mini-Com footprint fits standard faceplates and surface-mount boxes. The component carries RoHS certification and complies with EIA/TIA-568B.

Installers terminating Cat 6 UTP

This jack suits technicians who need a tool-less IDC termination for gigabit Ethernet drops in offices or data rooms. It is not for installers working with shielded cable, outdoor plant, or fibre connections. Buyers requiring a coupler, a surface-mount housing, or a pre-terminated patch cord should select a different accessory.

Questions about this item

What type of cable or connector must I already have to terminate onto this 1-port RJ-45 Cat6 jack?

You need solid or stranded 8-wire UTP cable with 8-position conductors to punch down onto the IDC terminals wired to T568A or T568B.

Will this black Mini-Com module fit alongside older beige or ivory keystone jacks in the same patch panel or faceplate?

Yes, it uses the standard Mini-Com footprint so it snaps into any Mini-Com compatible panel or faceplate regardless of the colour of adjacent modules.
