Product Identity

The Panduit DP24688TGY is a 24-port Cat6 patch panel built for 1U rack-mount installations. It provides 24 RJ-45 ports and 24 RJ-11 ports using 110-style punch-down terminations. The panel supports T568A and T568B wiring standards. CRS material construction ensures durability in structured cabling environments.

Suitable Installations

This panel suits network rooms that require high-density Cat6 connectivity in a single rack unit. Installations needing only RJ-45 ports or a different category rating should consider alternative panels. The 1U form factor fits standard racks where space is limited. Patch panels without RJ-11 ports are not covered by this model.

Deciding Specification

The panel delivers 24 network ports and 24 voice ports in a 1U frame. This combined port density determines whether the patch panel matches the cabling plan. Buyers who need a different port count or a single connector type must verify the specification before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the 110 punch-down blocks on this panel need re-termination over time?

The 110 IDC blocks are rated for repeated re-punches; use a fresh 110 tool and follow T568A/B wiring each time.

What is the first limit reached when all 24 ports run at Cat6 line rate continuously?

The 1U steel panel relies on rack airflow; sustained full-load traffic can raise internal temperature before any port-level bottleneck appears.

Does the panel add audible noise or measurable heat when mounted in a closed rack all day?

It has no fans or active components, so it adds zero acoustic noise and only negligible passive heat from connected cables.
