Panduit Mini Com Cat 5e Jack

The Panduit Mini Com Cat 5e White Jack CJ5E88TWH is a single-port RJ45 module designed for tool-less termination onto Category 5e cabling. Its flame-resistant plastic housing meets ANSI/TIA-568.2-D, IEC 60603-7, ISO 11801 and UL 1863 and 2043 requirements and carries RoHS compliance for structured wiring installations.

Installers terminating unshielded Cat 5e links

This jack suits installers who need a white, tool-less Cat 5e outlet for voice, data and PoE applications up to IEEE 802.3 bt Type 4. It does not serve projects that require Category 6, 6A or higher performance, shielded connectivity, multi-port density or a punch-down termination method.

Tool-less Cat 5e termination method

The defining specification is the tool-less termination style combined with Category 5e rating; if the project specifies a punch-down block or a higher category, this module will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What are the overall dimensions of the Panduit CJ5E88TWH jack for Mini-Com faceplate compatibility?

The jack measures 1 3/8 in overall depth, 3/4 in overall height, and 5/8 in overall width to fit standard Mini-Com openings.

What is the common mistake when terminating cables on this tool-less Cat 5e jack?

The common mistake is not fully seating each conductor in the colour-coded insulation-displacement contacts before snapping the hinged cap closed, which can leave an open circuit.

When should this flame-resistant RJ45 module be replaced in a PoE installation?

Replace the module if the housing shows heat discolouration, the latch tab breaks, or intermittent link errors appear after re-termination.
