Cable Tie for Intermediate Bundles

The Panduit PLT1.5I-M is a standard nylon 6/6 cable tie designed for electrical and industrial wire management. It suits installers who need a halogen-free, low-smoke fastener that meets plenum-rated requirements for air-handling spaces.

Upgrades from basic ties

This tie replaces standard non-plenum fasteners when codes demand UL Type 2 and 21 listings and a temperature range of -76 to 185 degrees F. The jump is worth it for projects requiring a 40 lb tensile strength and a 1.5 in maximum bundle diameter in plenum environments.

Suits plenum-rated installs

It fits electricians and contractors securing wire bundles up to 1.38 in diameter in air-handling areas. Buyers needing outdoor-rated or metal-detectable ties should look at something else.

Does the plastic pawl lock require a special tool to engage?

No tool is needed; pull the 5.6 in strap through the head until the pawl clicks at the desired tension.
