What it is

The Pannet FMS1 is a fibre-management spool that occupies one rack unit and comes in a pack of two. Each spool is black plastic with rounded edges and built-in retention fingers and tabs to organise slack inside compatible fibre enclosures.

Who it suits

Installers who need to manage fibre slack in Pannet FRME1U, FRME2U, FRME3 or FRME4 enclosures or the Opticom series will find these spools fit directly. Buyers using other enclosure brands or non-standard rack spacing should verify mounting hole alignment before purchasing.

Deciding specification

The critical detail is the stated compatibility with Pannet FRME1U, FRME2U, FRME3, FRME4 enclosures and the Opticom series; only those models are confirmed to accept the spool's mounting pattern.

Questions about this item

What rack height does each FMS1 spool occupy when mounted?

Each spool uses 1 rack unit of vertical space in a standard enclosure.

Which enclosures are the FMS1 spools designed to fit inside?

They are compatible with the FRME1U, FRME2U, FRME3 and FRME4 models and the Opticom series.

How are the spools secured during installation?

The spools mount using the enclosure's standard rack-mount holes; the rounded edges and retention fingers then hold the fibre in place.
