Scale and subject

This 1/64 scale diecast model reproduces the M998 HMMWV used by the 101st Airborne Division during the 1991 Gulf War. It is built for adult collectors who value historically accurate military miniatures. The officially licensed replica features pad-printed markings, a detailed exterior, an opening hood and a removable camper top. Posable wheels and a protective display case complete the package.

Who this suits and who it does not

Collectors focused on modern US Army vehicles in a compact scale will appreciate the authentic unit markings and durable diecast construction. Buyers who need a larger model for closer inspection or who prefer fully articulated interiors should look elsewhere. The fixed scale and limited interior detail also make it less suitable for diorama builders requiring deep cabin access. It is intended for display rather than rough handling.

Deciding specification

The model measures approximately 2.75 inches in length at 1/64 scale, a dimension that determines whether it fits your existing display space or matches other vehicles in your collection.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 1/64 scale M998 HMMWV model for display spacing?

The diecast model measures approximately 2.75 inches in length, making it compact enough for standard display cases or diorama shelves.

How do I correctly open the hood and detach the camper without damaging the hinges?

Gently lift the hood from the front edge until it pivots; the camper section pulls straight back from the chassis — do not twist or force the connection points.

Will the pad-printed markings on this limited-edition 101st Airborne version fade over time?

The pad-printed markings are designed to resist fading and peeling unlike traditional decals, ensuring long-lasting detail on the diecast metal and plastic construction.
