Scale and Subject

This 1/72 scale diecast model replicates the Pantsir S1 96K6 self-propelled air defence system used by the Russian Army. It is manufactured by Panzerkampf as part of their Armor Premium series. The replica is designed for adult collectors and military history enthusiasts who value accurate scale representations. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Construction and Detail

The model features diecast metal construction with some plastic parts, providing a heavy, realistic feel. Pad-printed markings and placards resist fading or peeling better than traditional decals. A rotating turret and posable guns and missiles allow for dynamic display options. The exterior is detailed without any openings, maintaining a clean profile.

Ideal Collector Profile

This piece suits collectors seeking a compact, high-fidelity replica of a specific modern air defence vehicle for shelf display. The included protective display case helps maintain pristine condition over time. Buyers who want larger scales, interior detail, or models with opening hatches and removable panels should look at something else.

Questions about this item

What does the 1/72 scale mean for the size of this Pantsir S1 model on my shelf?

At 1/72 scale the model measures about 4.5 inches long, 1.25 inches wide and 2 inches high, so it fits easily on a standard display shelf.

How does the diecast metal and plastic construction affect handling and durability?

The diecast metal gives the model a heavy, realistic feel while plastic parts allow moving elements; pad-printed markings resist fading or peeling better than traditional decals.

What clearance do I need for the rotating turret and posable guns and missiles?

The turret rotates fully and the guns and missiles can be posed, so allow a few extra centimetres around the 4.5-by-1.25-inch footprint for movement.
