Scale and subject

This is a 1/72 scale diecast model of the 8.8 cm Flak36 gun used by the Hermann Göring unit in Sicily during 1943. It is made for adult collectors and military history enthusiasts who value accurate, limited-edition replicas. The model arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Display case and construction

The model includes a protective plastic display showcase that keeps the piece in pristine condition. Its diecast metal and plastic construction provides a heavy, realistic feel and durability without any movable openings. High-quality markings on the exterior reflect the specific unit markings from the 1943 Sicilian campaign.

Size and detail limits

At approximately 3.25 inches long, 2 inches wide and 1.5 inches high, the replica offers true-to-scale detail in a compact footprint. The fixed, sealed design means it cannot be posed or opened to reveal interior mechanisms. Buyers who want a larger scale or a model with functional moving parts should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the diecast metal or plastic parts of this 1/72 scale Flak36 Gun degrade or need replacement over time?

The model uses diecast metal with some plastic parts for durability and a heavy, realistic feel; no maintenance or replacement is expected under normal display conditions.

What is the first limitation encountered when keeping this 3.25-inch long model on continuous display?

The main limitation is the fixed, non-opening design which prevents any internal inspection or repositioning of components once placed in the showcase.

Does the 8.8 cm Flak36 Gun model generate any noise, heat, or power draw when displayed all day in its plastic showcase?

No, this is a static 1/72 scale diecast collectible with no moving parts, electronics, or power requirements; it produces zero noise, heat, or power consumption.
