Adjustable R-404A expansion valve

The Parker SCE-B-SZ is a thermostatic expansion valve designed for R-404A refrigerant systems with a nominal capacity of 1 to 2 tons. It features external angle solder connections with a 3/8 inch inlet and 1/2 inch outlet. The valve includes a sensing bulb mounting clamp and a 30 inch capillary for installation flexibility.

External adjustment with wide load accuracy

This valve is externally adjustable, allowing technicians to set superheat without removing the unit from the line. Accuracy is maintained over a wide variation in evaporator load, minimizing hunting, flood back and coil starving problems during operation. The adjustable range suits systems requiring field tuning.

Capacity suited for small commercial units

The 1 to 2 ton nominal capacity fits walk-in coolers, reach-in cases and similar low-temperature R-404A applications. It handles normal load swings without losing control but is not sized for larger racks or multi-circuit systems needing higher refrigerant flow. Installers should verify the tonnage matches the evaporator rating.
